All Things Fall..

This weekend has been so very relaxing! A much needed break from the craziness of weddings, football, and work. We were able to just stay home in Jackson and hang out!
Friday evening, we went to the Mississippi State Fair with the sweet Milner family.

Jim in the petting zoo! haha.

Cute little baby chicks

Still at the petting zoo..

Saturday night we went to Brandon and Ginny's house in Madison to cook out. Julie and Andrew joined us! I can't wait for Julie to be here in Jackson so all 3 of us can live in the same place again:) It will be too much fun!

Happy 25th Birthday Andrew!

Next weekend- Ole Miss vs. Alabama!! Can't wait.

Oxford Wedding Weekend!

Oxford in the fall is amazing! It brings back so many wonderful memories of when I was in college. Recently, I got to spend an entire weekend in Oxford celebrating our friend Margaret's wedding!  Margaret and I have been friends since about 10th grade! We had a great group of friends, despite her being a "North Delta" girl, haha. We pledged Chio together in college and have been friends ever since. It was so fun to be in Oxford with her for the wedding! Unfortunately, Jim had to work this weekend so I was solo (except for Jordan and Melissa, of course!) We stayed at The Inn which is adorable. The weekend started with the rehearsal at OU Methodist and the dinner at the University Club.

The wedding was Saturday evening at the Methodist Church and the reception was held at her parent's home in Oxford. It was very pretty! :)

Fall is in the Air!

Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year! I love everything about it- the colors, the scents, the anticipation of the holiday season, halloween..etc.etc. This past weekend was one of the first weekends that really "felt" like fall. We traveled home to Senatobia for a friend's wedding. It was a beautiful wedding and very fun to see all of our friends:

Suprising? Not really

Tobie Picture with the Bride!

Sunday, I went down to Starkville with my parents. Unbelievable, I know. For obvious reasons, I am not a huge Starkville fan. However, since my little sister goes to school there now, I assumed that there would be times when I would have to visit. Sunday was one of those special occasions. My little sister pledged KD at state and we went down for her initation. I was super excited for her and enjoyed seeing her dorm room and new friends.

My sister and I in front of her new house!!:) haha

I thought the shrubs were pretty cute?! But Becca wouldn't take a picture by herself with them so we had to join.

This is what I was afraid of...

The main reason I was apprehensive of starting a blog was that I would not be able to keep it up! Well..it's been about 2 weeks since I have last updated! Horrible, I know. I have been swamped with school, mainly grad school! I have never been so ready for a class to be over. But, hey! I'm halfway done already. I can do it.

September has been a pretty great month. I spent Labor Day weekend on a girl's beach trip. We were celebrating our sweet friend Margaret's upcoming wedding!! We had a BLAST!! Even though tropical storm Lee kept us off the beach, we still enjoyed being together. I miss these girls so much! It's not the same when you don't live, eat, and talk with each other every single day (aka COLLEGE!) Needless to say, it was some much needed r&r time. Marg's sisters did such a good job planning the weekend. It was laid back but still super fun. We stayed at Margaret's family's beach home in Baytown, which was so convenient! We hardly drove the entire weekend, except for the golfcarts! Which I'm all for, since I am the best golfcart driver of the group. That's for you Jordan:-)

Some pics from the weekend...(I had to steal Fran's pics because my camera died..thanks fran! hehe)

Ahh...REUNITED!!:)

Just having fun at RumRunners, where else?!

Fran and I with out Tatoo Arms, how fun!

We ran into our friend, Dendy!! She was there for another Ole Miss girl's bachelorette party!

Celebrating Margaret! We are so excited for your big day:) Only one more week!!

Picnic in the Park Proposal!

Last weekend was a very eventful weekend! Not one of my best friends got engaged, but TWO!! How fun!:) Congrats to Melissa Pigott and Crump Britt, I can't wait until March! Y'all are two of my favorite people. Now onto the other friend.....

As most of you know, Julie Still has been one of my dearest friends for a very long time! We pretty much do everything together; went through high school together, roomed together in college, went Chio together, etc. So naturally, Our weddings would have to be somewhat close! Well as of last weekend, they are! Here's the scene and how it all unfolded:

Harbor Town Park- By the Mississippi River in Dowtown Memphis.

Just waiting on the couple to get done with dinner at Amerigo's!

Engagement Ring napkin holders. If you know Julie- you'll know these fit her:) I just had to buy them (Hobby Lobby) for the proposal!

Just something sweet to go with the champagne- with Julie's favorite icing of course!

Just some details from the picnic

Anxiously awaiting on my phone call. We were hiding behind a tree and she had no idea we were in town!:)

And then..... THE NEWLY ENGAGED COUPLE!!:)

Kinda Blurry:( The picture just doesn't do the ring justice, it's beautiful!!

Calling our best friend, Ginny. I had to document..Haha!

Congratulations to Julie and Andrew! It was so much fun to be apart of your big night. We love y'all and cannot wait until May 19th, 2011!!

Home Sweet Home

This past weekend, we visited home for the first time in over a month (that's a big deal for me!) We enjoyed seeing all of our family! I'm such a homebody and LOVE being at home. Even though I really do enjoy living in Brandon, there's no place like home! Saturday, Jim went to Meet the Rebels in Oxford while I decided to stay home with my family. My sister decided to come home from State so we visited our grandfather then went to take these sweet girls to get ice cream!

The Gough girls have been our unofficial little sisters for a long time! I have kept Taylor since she was about 4 and Emilee since she was born! They are both growing up so much, Taylor just started jr. high! We just love them!:)
How cute is she? Emilee was my flower girl and she probably watched the wedding pictures 3 times Saturday. She was a star in them! haha.

Saturday night, we went to dinner at Windy City Grill in Hernando with my family and the Woods family. We had such a fun dinner and were entertained by cute Marshal.
My mother is just a little obsessed!

We ended the weekend by having lunch at my grandmothers. It was such a fun weekend and I'm looking forward to a great week at school!

Best Friends

August has been a very BUSY month!

I started a new job at a new school! Its been pretty good, it's a harder transition that I'd hoped for but it's getting better (even though I miss my buddies at SIS.) This past weekend was a TON of fun! I was able to see many of my best friends all in one weekend:)

First, my best friend Hannah came in town for one of our friends wedding! I was so excited to get to see her and spend time with her and the rest of the Martin family. When I asked Hannah if she had read my blog and what she thought- she said she had read it, but...I hadn't blogged about her!? So here's for you Hannie. Since I'm sure my blog is completely followed and read by hundreds, You have officially made the Simpson blog. I love you my pretty California friend!

We had a wonderful time at the wedding. Mary Mitchell was in my pledge class in Chio and she happened to marry a boy from tobie town! It was fun seeing friends from college and home. A few pictures:

Jim and I enjoying the reception.

Catching up with Bekah and Hannah

The following Sunday we met Jordan and her fiance, Jim at Que Sera in Jackson for dinner. It was actually a suprise for Jordan who had just passed her nursing test. We had so much fun catching up and spending time with each other! I just can't wait for their wedding in January!
