Checking Out for the Summer!

Well this school year has come and gone! And what a fun one it has been. Since it was my first school year without a graduate school class hanging over my head, I have thoroughly enjoyed myself. Not to mention, I had a totally awesome class of students and parents! Some of my favorite moments throughout the year:

Receiving sweet gifts from parents all year long!
A fellow teacher singing "School's Out for the Summer" during dismissal today. So much fun.
Ole Miss Teachers! Hannah, Anna Katherine and
I celebrating a great school year!

Getting nailed in the face with a pie by this sweet boy! A reward for good behavior.

Field Day 2013

Being scary creatures on Halloween

A great game of ships and sailors at recess. Jack I'm Flying!!

Visiting with some of the BHS football players and cheerleaders.

As the year wraps up, I am reminded of how blessed I am to work at BES with such wonderful people.  It is really a special place to me! All the administation, faculty, and students are the best in the world! I can't wait for another year to begin! :)

Until then...HAPPY SUMMER!

MAY Updates!

Whew...May is a whirlwind. That's all I've got to say.  Although the ending of the school year is bittersweet, I will be happy for things to calm down just a bit. There is nothing crazier than the beginning and end of school-always something to do:)

Here's what we've been up to:

Jim's company, Tyson, is a contributor to the Make-a-Wish foundation so we were able to attend the Wishmaker's ball in Jackson. It was a great event for a sweet cause. Once again, I lost all the items I bid on in the silent auction. I'm not aggressive enough-haha go figure!

We also attended another benefit for The Mind Center. This was The Band Perry concert at Thalia Maria Hall in Jackson. The concert was FANTASTIC! They put on such a great performance.

For mother's day weekend, we packed up and headed north to Tobie town. It was a fun, relaxing weekend. We are looking forward to another weekend at home with our family soon.

This past week, my students took the MCT2. If you are in education-you know this is a big deal. Above is a picture of one of my students making an MCT pledge to do his best. It was a LONG week, but I was very pleased with our students' work. I hope we will see good results!:)
My class and I posing in our Praying for Carter Cline tshirts! I am so proud of them.

This will be our last week of school! I am excited and sad at the same time. What a fun year we have had!!:)
