Getting Settled!

July has been the month of moving, a never ending move. With the LOTS of help from family and friends, I moved everything down to Brandon on my birthday (July 3rd!) It was a long process! Just when I thought I was settled into the apartment, it was time to move into my new classroom.

However, I feel as though July was a very productive month! I finished all of my wedding thank you notes! Hallelujah:) I made our temporary apartment look a little more like home and I have been learning to cook new things, which has been a lot of fun. Jim and I have had alot of fun going out to eat, going to the braves games, and just hanging out with our new friends The Milners. They have a precious little boy, Sam who just recently turned two. We have lots of fun with them!

It has also been very fun getting to be in the same place again as my childhood friend, Ginny Crenshaw. We have rode around and looked at houses for Jim and I (ha!), shopped, and layed out by the pool! We even had our third part, Julie down here for a couple of weeks. One weekend, we went to eat at the Little Mermaid Cafe on Lake Caroline which was a blast! I hope we dine there again soon.

A few highlights from our first month in Brandon-

This is one of my favorite things in our apartment! It was given to us by Scot and Leigh Ann, who own a store in Hattiesburg called Franklin Hill Interiors. Leigh Ann always has great taste so naturally I loved their wedding gift:)

We even had our first dinner guests over, Ginny and Brandon! Ginny and I cooked poppy seed chicken and rice! It was a fun dinner. We went to see Crazy Stupid Love afterwards, which was an EXCELLENT movie. It was the best movie I had seen in a long time, I can't WAIT for it to come out on DVD so I can naturally watch it 2-3 times a week.

My sweet friend, Seetala, at her brother in-laws wedding in Starkville.

Tommorrow marks the beginning of a new school year in a new place! I am very excited and will hopefully  have great things to share. So long summer!
